What Families Can Find at Cheyne Ranch
PALS: People & Animal Learning Success
PALS is Cheyne Ranch’s animal-assisted learning program. Sometimes called Equine Assisted Learning or Animal Assisted Learning, PALS gives participants the opportunity to work toward individual learning goals while spending meaningful time with the ranch animals.
Through animal care, guided activities and connection, participants can strengthen communication, confidence, emotional regulation, problem-solving and practical life skills.
Family & Small Group Visits
Families can get outside, step away from screens and enjoy approximately 60 to 75 minutes of guided, hands-on time with the horses, bunnies, goats, chickens, pigs, barn cats and farm dogs.
Visits may also include a nature walk and a hand-led pony experience when weather, animal health, participant size and other conditions allow.
Birthday Parties, Field Trips & Group Celebrations
Cheyne Ranch welcomes birthday parties, school and homeschool field trips, scout groups, day care groups, senior care groups and other organizations looking for an outdoor experience centered around animals, learning and connection.
The ranch proudly welcomes guests with disabilities and diverse sensory needs. Families and group leaders may contact Cheyne Ranch to discuss sensory-friendly options or other accommodations that can help everyone participate, celebrate and feel included.
